As someone who has a spice rack that would make most cooks envious, the “seasoning police” only really use 3 seasonings, stupid amounts of sodium, sugar, and peppers/ capsaicin. It destroys their taste buds to the point most wouldn’t even taste the herbs that the bland “white folks” use.
I dont get where the idea of white people having bland food comes from. I’ve been to plenty of great hole in the wall restaurants here in the south ran by white or black people with great food and seasoning. I tend to like spicy flavoring so I add hot sauce to a lot but I dont understand why food prepared by whites is considered bland. I guess they need to go out and eat somewhere
I’ve never really had much French food outside of deserts but would love to try it. Italian food is all over the place. Plus having southern roots and a grandfather from the country in east Texas I’ve had possum, chitlins, raccoon, squirrel, etc. so I’ve had food from very fine cuisine to roadkill.
But whenever I hear that I think the same thing you do. Look at all the food from Europe and rethink that statement
You know why a lot of people haven’t had French cuisine? Because it’s fucking expensive.
Criticizing white food for being bland is like criticizing white culture for being trailer trash. If you can’t afford to live in an expensive white neighborhood, your assessment of white culture might be incorrect lol
