As someone who has a spice rack that would make most cooks envious, the “seasoning police” only really use 3 seasonings, stupid amounts of sodium, sugar, and peppers/ capsaicin. It destroys their taste buds to the point most wouldn’t even taste the herbs that the bland “white folks” use.

I dont get where the idea of white people having bland food comes from. I’ve been to plenty of great hole in the wall restaurants here in the south ran by white or black people with great food and seasoning. I tend to like spicy flavoring so I add hot sauce to a lot but I dont understand why food prepared by whites is considered bland. I guess they need to go out and eat somewhere

Kind of insane how powerful it is. I'd guess that close to 90% of the US population mistakenly believes that spouses can't be made to testify against each other in court, and that police won't take a missing persons report until the person has been missing for 48 hours. All because they've heard it so many times in various movies and TV shows and never even question it.

I dont get where the idea of white people having bland food comes from.

Jews in hollywood struggled to find things whites were supposedly bad at as a way to pander to joggers and reinforce racial divisions.

The most popular types of food worldwide are overwhelmingly white:

  1. Italian: by far the winner, we can all see Italian restaurants are everywhere.

  2. Mediterranean: also white technically, as it refers to primarily greek food.

  3. Japanese: the only non-white cuisine with broad international popularity

  4. American: yeah, American food is really fucking popular, no matter how much shit snobs try to talk about it to cope with their inferiority complexes

  5. Spanish: more white food

Blacks just need to cope as they eat fried chicken and watermelon. Have you ever seen "black food" restaurants? No. Because that shit is nasty. Chitlins? Collard greens?

But no doubt blacks "season" their food. They have the highest rates of diabetes in the country, so they must be doing something right.

I mean I’m black and enjoy fried chicken. Watermelon is good but I don’t go crazy for it. I like all the foods you mentioned but I was never taught to look for a racist white person around every corner or see white supremacy in everything so I don’t have a problem acknowledging great things from white culture such as the food you mentioned. Italian is one of my favorites for instance

Whenever people complain about black people, they are complaining about the blacks who participate in the dominant black culture which centers around

  • left wing politics

  • supposed victimhood and resentment

  • lack of personal responsibility & blaming everyone else, especially whites, for their problems

  • rejection of basic norms of social decency as "white"

  • fetishistic obsession with "authenticity"

  • definition of blackness as being fundamentally anti-social, backward, and inferior

  • celebration of crime as some sort of noble rebellion against the system, or the justified cry of an oppressed people

  • literal racism

People get sick and tired of that shit, and it's 100x worse because half this country - the Democrats - aggressively enable it.

▲ 22 ▼
– Smith1980 22 points 78 days ago +22 / -0

I get that. I just had to come to the defense of fried chicken lol. Although in the south I’ve seen plenty of whites who enjoy it too so I’m guessing it’s more a southern thing. Believe me I’m sick of the things on that list as well and used to get into a lot of arguments with cousins before realizing it is pointless because some people seem to relish the idea of some imaginary white dude that follows you around to oppress you. I haven’t talked to some people since the Floyd riots or Jan 6 because they tried to compare the two.

permalink parent save report block reply

– current_horror 9 points 78 days ago +10 / -1

How the fuck do you figure that? A red pilled black person is almost always simply ignored. Leftists pretend he doesn’t exist because engaging with him will short circuit their programming. And yes, that sucks, but he can still speak his mind freely, safe in the knowledge that he will not be aggressively canceled (unless he criticizes Jews, of course). The red pilled black man is still shielded by his membership in a protected class. The best they can they throw at him is “internalized racism”, but that shit is so obviously bizarre that the accusation isn’t really actionable.

The red pilled white man is actively persecuted by every major western institution. Speaking his mind freely will see him immediately canceled. His identity is not a shield against but a magnet for hostility and aggression. He would love to experience apathetic opponents in the arenas of culture and politics.

Nonsense statement from you, deka. The real victims of political leftism are white peoples - not “the good blacks”.

Have you ever seen "black food" restaurants?

I have. I used to live in a house just the cusp of a black neighborhood, and at the end of the street was a 'soul food' takeout place. I got a meal there once as a lark, simple fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese... that was the saltiest goddamn thing I have ever eaten. Couldn't even finish it. This is why blacks have a greater rate of high blood pressure and hypertension.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– Adamrises 3 points 77 days ago +3 / -0

But no doubt blacks "season" their food.

I've eaten at the mythical black restaurants and their seasoning is almost always "spicy/hot" or overpowering. Likely because the spicy has burnt their buds so dead they need an overwhelming amount of anything else to even taste it.

Its kind of like Mountain Dew. When you drink a lot of soda, its just a sweeter, easy to swallow drink. When you drink little to none, its painful to even have on your tongue.

I’ve never really had much French food outside of deserts but would love to try it. Italian food is all over the place. Plus having southern roots and a grandfather from the country in east Texas I’ve had possum, chitlins, raccoon, squirrel, etc. so I’ve had food from very fine cuisine to roadkill.

But whenever I hear that I think the same thing you do. Look at all the food from Europe and rethink that statement

There's a place to get French cuisine at reasonable prices: At home.

Seriously, there's a million recipes online. Even the meal kit delivery guys often have French options.

But to be honest, American cuisine (high-end, mind) has cribbed all the good elements of French cuisine. A good high end American place, and a good high-end French place, will look VERY similar. The key in French cuisine is in the sauces, and American cuisine doesn't mind using some amount of French sauces in their dishes.

The amount of people who realised from this that "dey don season dey chicken" means we don't coat our meat in some kind of powder spice mix straight from the store, after washing it in Dawn dish soap, is incredible.

Add "seasoning police" or "seasoning americans" to the list along side Dindus, basketball Americans, joggers etc.

The 'seasoning police' are just people full of hatred toward whites.

There's nohing else to it. That's all it is. They've just identified something common large numbers of white people, and because of that commonality, they attack it.

They hate you.

The mustard is evaporated during cooking while the rub stays on. The guy reacting went on about white people and seasoning yada yada. The man himself having no clue the guy was a pretty big bbq channel.

If you need to coat your food in 15 different spices and herbs, out of which most get burnt anyways and give the food that disgusting charred taste, then either your food quality is terrible and/or your taste buds are fucked.

Lol at the comments

She has a point about the seasoning BUT her approach is one of privilege. She can afford fresh seasoning while the powders give folks more bang for their buck and last longer.

Of course, because onions and garlic are notorious for going bad after just half a day and costing a fortune, dem kingz n qweenz mus eat da powdaz cuz da hwyte man be eatin all the fresh seazonin shieeeet

Besides your obvious point, a less obvious one is... Powders don't give more bang for your buck. You need an astronomical amount of garlic powder to equal just smashing a garlic clove.

The more processed something is, the more expensive it is. General rule that is obvious in hindsight: More steps in the process, more hands touching the food that need paying.

It ain't so healthy to "drown" it in stuff that blows out your colon, like heavy spices, either.

Frankly, the whole reason for the heavy spices is to hide bad food, full stop. Not just rotten, but just bad. Bad tasting, bad quality. I simply don't trust what heavy spice hides.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 4 ▼
– Ender910 4 points 78 days ago +4 / -0

Indeed. I've tried explaining this to a few people but some are still in utter denial about how much a lot of this extra flavoring can feed into weight issues. Not to mention diabetes, blood pressure issues, and heart disease with regards to heavy amounts of extra sugar and salt.

Not that I incorporate a lot of healthy nutritional sources into my meals myself, but I at least manage to keep most issues to a minimum by accepting that food can be a little bland and still get the necessary job done.

And I almost feel like I'd have to point this out, explicitly, to certain American population groups that no, flavor is not the reason you eat. Raw nutrients and fuel for your "meat reactor", are why you eat.

Dating often leads to gaining weight because going out to restaurants often makes you gain weight.

Restaurants give 0 fucks about being "healthy", they just want the food to taste good, so it is very high in salt and sugar/fat. Much moreso than stuff you'd typically make at home because people generally don't use as much extra salt/sugar/fat as restaurants do.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– cartoonericroberts 1 point 77 days ago +1 / -0

Drowning food in sauce is bad when the sauce is mostly sugar, like ketchup, or seed oil, like basically any salad dressing or mayo (even those marketed as "avocado" are often majority seed oil). Salt and saturated fat mostly have a bad rap based on shit science. As long as your kidneys are healthy any excess salt will be urinated out. Medieval Europeans had something crazy like 30 times the salt intake of the modern western diet. Koreans have at least twice the salt intake as Americans but have much less hypertension. Any sauce made with healthy animal fats is a healthy addition to a meal.

Both are seasoned food but I will also contend that there's a noticeable difference between cooking chicken w/ aromatics, etc. in the pan vs. using a powders or herbs that get seared into the outer layer.

Though with fine enough chopping and a binding layer you can get a similar effect.
