Meanwhile

Trump supported entitlement reform as late as 2020.
Trump has the lowest favorability numbers of any major politician.
Trump praised Zelensky and armed Ukraine during his term.
Trump praised Paul Ryan as late as 2018 and endorsed him when DeSantis praised Ryan in 2012.
Trump called for lockdowns and school closures through the fall of 2020 and attacked Kemp for re-opening too soon.

This "strategy" is not going to go the way Trump thinks.

Trump has the lowest favorability numbers of any major politician.

But he's charismatic, at least an acquired taste. I find DeSantis to be a little boring.

Trump praised Zelensky and armed Ukraine during his term.

I wonder why so many people give Trump a pass for this. Obama never sent lethal 'aid' to Ukraine, because he realized that this was a fool's errand. Trump allowed himself to be pressured to send lethal aid because of Russiagate.

This was in large part the cause of the war.
