Romantic love is bullshit from movies. It doesn't exist.

Your lizard brain is drugging you into feeling it so you make a baby.
So it doesn't exist, but even though it doesn't exist it's only a thing because your brain forces you to feel it.
What a stupid fucking statement. Everything we "feel" is just our brains drugging us into it. I'm only hungry because my brain tells me. I'm only tired because my brain tells me. I'm only thirsty because my brain tells me. I'm only angry or happy or sad because my brain tells me. Therefore none of those things exist because it's just my brain sending electrochemical signals to my body.
(Yes, I'm aware that there that other organs are capable of signaling stuff through other electrochemical processes. It doesn't change the argument.)
How do you explain poly among a group of homosexual males?
I could potentially accept an argument that romantic love is not worth pursuing, but not an argument that it doesn't exist. I can even accept your premise that it's just a bunch of brain chemical drug effects caused by evolutionary psychology, but that doesn't make it stop resulting in a distinct cognitive state (a feeling, if you will). Unless you're suggesting that such states should all be stripped of their labels and we disregard all feelings as "lizard brain" trickery.
