You're probably never heard of any rehabilitation, period. The libtards pick the occasional magic negro who became a paralegal in prison as a "feel good" story, and they obviously aren't going to pick sex criminals for those propaganda stories.
The truth is that recidivism for most sex crimes is considerably lower than other types of crimes. I remember reading the stats on this years ago. The idea that people with sex crimes on their rap sheet have an irresistible compulsion is nonsense. That only applies to a subset of pedophiles or people with extreme mental illness (which is a small minority of them), which is why SVP evaluations exist.
I would imagine the recidivism rate is lower in no small part because said registry includes a considerable amount of things that are barely crimes and not really sexual. The often mentioned peeing in an alleyway for example.
And of course the actual list is useless because the kinds of degeneracy that should put you on a watchlist is fully approved by the proverbial they.
One teenager actually killed themselves because they streaked as a prank at an event and was about to be registered like he was an exhibitionist.
There is also cases of kids getting put on the registry for retarded non sexually predatory actions where there should have been no charge, false arrests over legal pornography of adults that was falsely identified as child porn, people who downloaded porn packs and got arrested because it turned out they happened to contain cp, out of date sex offender registrations for individuals cleared of charges by courts,, etc.
