I have no respect for anyone who isn't a racist.

Unknownsailor 8 points ago +8 / -0

Make dueling legal again, and this shit comes to a screeeeching halt.

How do you bring most white people to their knees?? Call them “racist”.

White guilt is one hell of a strong weakness a majority of people nowadays have.

Honestly, this one is probably even "better", from a cancel culture "bingo" perspective...

It makes two (middle aged) white men out to be racist, sexist, "eugenicist", controlling abusers. Could barely have hit more of their favourite targets for "reasons for cancellation" if it tried, lol...

Which is what, in part, makes this whole thing so very fishy, to me...

It is so extreme, so... Unusual (who in their right minds would think they would get away with this, in the last decade?), and so out of character (at least for Chris Fagan), that I just... It simply doesn't pass the "pub test", for me.

No right of reply. No consultation. Categorically denied by senior players at the club, including their Indigenous "leader". It fucking reeks of a beat-up, to me...

But it doesn't matter that it is unlikely to ever be "proven". It doesn't matter whether this actually happened, and it doesn't matter whether "race" was actually involved. The media, and leftists on social media, will campaign to destroy these men anyway, and the fucking woke AFL will be more than happy to play along, proof or no proof...

It is really telling that the "complainants" aren't willing to admit who they are, AND that they took nearly a decade to come out with the accusations "because they didn't want to relive the trauma" (lol)...

Fuck, could this GET more "current year" if it tried??!

Disclaimer: if these allegations are proved beyond reasonable doubt, in a court of law (they won't be), then sure, take their jobs away. But that is all that should come of this. No criminal charges, no destruction of the club that some are clamouring for. Sackings, and a fine. That should be it.

But that would involve proving this shit, and that will never actually happen. And that, I feel, is the problem, here.

We've somehow gone from a Western society that (theoretically) respects the rule of law, and grants the benefit of the doubt ("innocent until proven guilty"), to one that values the exact opposite, and that, frankly, is what this all comes down to, and what has been very, very, I would say abundantly apparent, since these "allegations" "spontaneously" came to light...

Australia is a lost cause. Its not fixable.

bamboozler1 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

There's reams of this shit...

Almost wall-to-wall coverage on all the media orgs. Like, an absolute fucking field day for the "totally not biased" media...

Talk about cancel culture at its worst. Struth!

Women or their allies will take over yet another sport. It's a coup.

NoEyesNoGroin 4 points ago +4 / -0

You're overestimating women. Women are just irrational and narcissistic enough to fall for the Neo-Marxist brainwashing that turns them into woke cultists. They do as the woke cult commands, even as it infests their bathrooms, forces them to participate in male sports, and takes away their femininity and family bonds.

bamboozler1 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I guess that's arguable, but... See my replies below. I'm not sure it would count as "evidence", either way, but there's a fuck tonne of arguments on this whole "woke women in sport"/"woke women's sports" thing, let's say...

bamboozler1 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's (G)A(y)FL (to many. Not to me, but) - they literally already have...

I present to you, women's Football:

https://www.spectator.com.au/2022/01/diversity-or-uniformity-muslim-footballer-haneen-zreika-to-miss-pride-match/ (which I posted about at the time it happened)

And more recently (in another "woke round"):

TheImpossible1 -2 points ago +3 / -5

I didn't mean they'd have their own - I meant they'd take over a position of power.

On a very personal note, with this, my ex partner ended up in this situation, with her local footy club...

They created a women's team. She joined. Club president (male) quit, a few years later. She was the only one (so she told me) willing to take over the job. So, as a result, she ends up as president of the whole club, men's and women's teams (and juniors) included, despite being, as she herself admitted, a fairly mediocre player herself...

I'm not saying she is a bad person, or will run the thing into the ground, or anything of the sort, but it is... Interesting, that this exact phenomenon is repeated at even that level, to such an extent that I have been personally... "Wrapped up in it somewhat", let's say...

And I've personally seen that happen with two women, in two clubs, in two states where AFL is not even the main sport...

Little bit odd, I would think.

J_Darnley 1 point ago +1 / -0

Did the previous club president quit for a particular reason? A political reason?

Tangentially: isn't that how many higher bureaucrats get their jobs? Being mediocre. A talented person whether in sport or anything else would keep doing it while the lesser ones quit or get promoted to become coaches or some sort of middle level bureaucrat.

bamboozler1 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well yes, but the whole "women's football" thing was literally a backdoor to "We need female club presidents" (which has happened) and "AFL executives should be female!" (I present to you, the woman "in charge of"/"leading" this "investigation": https://www.afl.com.au/news/79611/indigenous-leader-tanya-hosch-named-as-new-afl-diversity-chief)...

So, while it may seem we are talking cross-purposes here, these things are, in essence, one and the same...

Oh and fucking cricket. Because of course...

This is happening with Australian domestic soccer, too, I note.

Step 1: Make (or, in reality, demand) a women's team.

Step 2: Merge many of the functions, within the same club, between the men's and women's teams.

Step 3: Make a woman the executive.

Step 4: Fire the previous management.

Step 5 (We are here): Make everything woke.

Step 6 (and in the case of Hawthorn, this is literally what woke idiots on social media are clamouring for): Abolish the men's team...

That is one possible pathway, anyway... In the AFL, that is literally, unironically, what has begun to happen, and soccer is headed that way, too.

I don't think these things are coincidental, frankly...
