They're really not interested in forgiveness at all. If it were up to them a mere accusation would result in the accused being sent to die in some God forsaken gulag. Even guys like Johnny Depp who are able to vindicate themselves legally. The only reason that they're talking about this at all is because some are able to bounce back and since they can't prevent it they want to extract a struggle session as a consolation prize.
