Anyone read the dissenting opinion? Heaven help us if libs ever take the court. They completely ignore the limitations set on government in the 2nd, instead they say there should have been a debate on whether or not the ccw restrictions increase public safety or not.
Like what the actual fuck? You wanna debate if a blatantly unconstitutional law increases public safety?
It’s completely irrelevant, and given SCOTS’s ruling that LEOs are not required to defend citizens, just outright insane.
I am tired of criminals being treated better than citizens. It’s way past time for it to stop.

That debate is over, shall issue permits are not a danger to public safety.
At all. Period. Full stop. Even anti-gun sheriffs that were resistant to Florida's permit in 1987, when it was first introduced, changed their minds later. Permit holder crime rates have been extensively studied, and the conclusion is clear: permit holders commit crime less often than even sworn law enforcement.
What the dissenters really want is an excuse to dither, and do nothing, thereby leaving the present system in place.
