So what happened? Why didn't you make a new username and go back like I've done like 20 times?

I just want to point out how many times they suspended me, all for nothing:

mankosmash4 and 7 are still up. I'm about ready to jump to a new name if those two get suspended. They've suspended 4 a bunch of times in the past year but I always got it reversed on appeal.
Protip: If you use a VM and install the most common browser config and just revert to that when you get banned, they won't be able to find your dupes so quickly. They use OS/browser fingerprinting to track banned accounts even if you delete cookies or install a new browser. They usually don't do anything if you create another account, but they know it's a dupe. The only time you'll see the fingerprinting in action is when they "super ban" you, which will immediately ban you again when you comment again in the sub you were super-banned from.
Early on, they didn't bother tracking down my alts. After they did a couple mass ban waves, I learned all the rules to not get caught:
your browser session is fingerprinted, so you can't swap accounts in the same browser session. you need to switch browsers or close out your session and start a new incognito/private one whenever you switch accounts.
Your IP is also tracked to your account, so you need to use a VPN to switch your IP address whenever you swap accounts.
Browser/OS fingerprinting can still track you even between browser profiles unless you use a very common browser config/resolution/etc. There are programs that can mask the fingerprints but the only good ones cost money.
Reddit relies on automated systems. They aren't going to do a forensic examination of your browser profile, and I don't think they save all that info anyway.
