It all started when my left wing (unfortunately a lot of my extended family is on the left) cousin sent me one of those Netflix memes that mock race swapping and she was mad about it and I guess she expected me to be upset. I simply told her that the joke has a lot of basis in reality and there is a massive over representation of black people in modern day entertainment along with lgbt and some other minorities to a lesser extent. I even told her that I would be surprised if Netflix adapted a book and didn't race swap. I also pointed out that in a majority white country, it makes sense that most of the entertainment would be white people. She then gave me a lecture about representation and I told her that people who have to see themselves in everything have a mental issue and then she really went off.
Long story short, I tried to explain to her that they just want her to be angry all the time and that they have no use for you if you are content with your life. During the "summer of love" I tried to get her to see how the applauding of rioting and looting is the media essentially saying that black people are savages that can't be expected to act civilized, and the same thing with education. Lowering standards should be insulting and make you want to prove what you can do, but she didn't see it that way.
Needless to say the conversation ended with her telling me that she can't really be surprised because I've always "acted white" from a young age and the fact that I voted for Trump shows that I have embraced white supremacy.
Honestly it is funny how many times I've been accused of white supremacy, but I think the next time I am called a supremacist I'll just say thank you since by today's standard it means someone who leads a decent life and works. I guess the relatively small amount of European DNA I have has really been working overtime.
I am waiting for one of the main streaming services to show a movie about a black teen who was involved in blm but becomes disillusioned, stumbles across some Thomas Sowell videos on Youtube, and comes to realize that the "blame the white man" mentality is poisonous and that he controls his own destiny. I'm waiting Hollywood.......
Should have backhanded her then raised your hand again and said "Do you want me to keep acting like a nigger?" But then again that would have just turned her on which would make things awkward.
Ha! Sadly I’ve known women who do seem to be turned on by abusive men.
A man strong enough to check a woman's bullshit is necessarily strong enough to protect her and their children, in theory. Doesn't mean he will in practice (see abusers), but it means he could. For a low-quality woman, that's enough. "I can fix him," is the next line of female-fantasy BS that follows the basal attraction to the violence and drama of machismo.
It's tiresome.
And in the act of "fixing" they become insufferable at best or abusive at worse.
A common line near the end of that kind of foundation for a relationship is "why can't you be like you were when I first met you" or "I want the old you" or "you've changed", while completely ignoring the fact that THEYRE the ones who caused it.
