It's probably for the best, given the seething hatred Canada's leaders clearly feel for their citizens.
Liberal governments have found a way to funnel billions to arms companies without having to worry about their voter complaining. They just have to sell them the right war.
Canadian military is Broken. Its falling apart. Procurement is broken, non existent funding, rampant systemic problems of abuse, no retention, no recruitment, to many flag officers not enough enlisted, poor pay, poor leadership, way to much politics, old and broken equipment, no political appetite from general populous to do anything about it.

What Canada sent was essentially 2000 rounds of Carl Gustav antitank weapons without guidance systems, which is a 1946 era weapon modernized somewhat in the 1980s.

The Carl G is a good weapon system but it has its limitations just like any other weapon.

You can just annex us cause Canada's military is so insignificant that there wouldn't be no way to defend such a huge land mass. Also knowing how americans are we blow up all your shit and kill everyone first unlike the ruskies which negotiate with you while waging war. It would be a very quick and decisive war.
I am sure most people would just wave the white flag and very few would resist.
I guess now's the time to launch the civil war to retake Canada.
