For reference, people: Adam “Death Tax” is Adam Bandt, leader of the Greens… Scott “Excise Tax” Morrison is the Prime Minister. The teacher is Pauline Hanson, whose campaign team made this (and yes, that is indeed her voice), and the drunk guy is Derryn Hinch, who is a former radio shock jock, who was jailed for a while, I think for fraud, and is now, bizarrely, a “moderate” independent senator…
Absolutely spot-on, these portrayals. 👌🏻
1, 6 and 8 are also particularly good, so far! This is number 5, I think..?
I’m sure there will likely be more, because clearly they are working, as a campaign strategy!
Yeah I binged them after watching this one. It perfectly encapsulates the shitshow that is aussie politics.
I'm WA and we are proper fucked at the moment. At the state level the Labor government has nearly all of the lower house seats and an overwhelming majority in the upper house (because the Libs imploded after Troy Buswell kept getting blotto and doing stupid shit and they had zero talent coming through the ranks). One of the first moves Labor did was strip upper house seats from the non metro areas which are the areas that historically don't vote for them. They instituted a policy with the state theatre trust which prevented any of their locations from being used for "political" rallies and meetings (union meetings somehow were allowed but a religious seminar was deemed political), removed references to Taiwan from maps at the museum and art gallery, and these highly restrictive lockdowns and mandates (we just got boosters mandated and they haven't even finished the roll out of the double vax mandate). The big problem is that a lot of the population are all to happy to keep giving the government more power despite them showing they abuse it at every step.
There isn't currently an estate tax, because as you can imagine it is extremely unpopular with everyone except commie scum. Naturally, it's the commie scum party that wants to bring it back.
Death Taxes are immoral and I will henceforth refer to as "grave robbing".
An Excise Tax is bad enough, but the fact that it also happens to be compounding is alarming.
Yeah, I genuinely did not know about any of this shit (which appears to be true) before I watched the vid…
I knew about some of the other ones (“the preference system”, for example), but this one is… Alarming… 😑
They get less informative as they go along, but admittedly just as entertaining! 😂

Derryn Hinch was jailed because he told everyone that Jill Meagher's murderer was a serial rapist out on parole.
This is brilliant.
Watch the rest of them (they’re at the Channel page)! I cannot recommend them highly enough, especially if you know who the people are!!
The Greta one (number 6?) is 🔥, too.

Wait... is the death tax real?
