A few days ago, I wrote about how NBC News fails at basic statistics. They were confusing '82% of BLM supporters are black' with '82% of blacks support BLM'. Since then, they have corrected their article.

Old
New

From:

Eighty-two percent of the respondents in support of Black Lives Matter in the most recent poll were Black.

To:

Eighty-two percent of Black respondents in the most recent poll said they supported Black Lives Matter.

Interestingly, they also introduced a new error.

From:

Since then, public opposition to Black Lives Matter has risen after the shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man, by police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin

To:

Since then, public support to Black Lives Matter has continue to decline, including after the shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man, by police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin

To their credit, it was not a stealth edit:

CORRECTION (Nov. 22, 2:29 p.m.): A previous version of this article mischaracterized the respondents to the survey who said they support the Black Lives Matter movement. Eighty-two percent of the respondents who are Black support the movement, not 82 percent of overall respondents.

How do I know this was a response to what we wrote about the article? The article itself is from 16 November. I wrote my criticisms on 21 November. The article was changed the next day. Quite a coincidence otherwise. We're definitely being watched by not-so-friendly eyes.
