She is a parody account right? And they took her seriously? Sadly she doesn’t sound that far off.

I think it's only making a piss out of this insanity.

It's funny how both of their rallying symbols of as recently as 2016-2020, Hogwarts and #Resistance, are now wronghtink.

Yeah, I'm not sure if Doyle is just making a joke about how bad the article is or if he really submitted it.

Sadly the latter is entirely believable since James Lindsay, Peter Boghassian and Helen Pluckrose literally got a paper to peer review & publish a feminist rewrite of Mein Kampf: https://www.foxnews.com/us/academic-journal-accepts-feminist-mein-kampf

I am pretty certain it is a guy who is behind the Titania McGrath persona. She's an entirely made up person. Given all the AI human face generators out there there's nothing stopping anyone from basically making someone up and doing similar (in either direction).

Yes it's Andrew Doyle. We know TM is a parody but what we're wondering is if Doyle is just mocking the paper or if he actually wrote it.

Would be absolute gold if he actually did write it with a bunch of pseudonyms, though it wouldn't be the first time intentionally bullshit "science" was passed off as legitimate.

Titania McGrath is a creation of comedian and classical-liberal dissident Andrew Doyle.

He discusses creating Jonathan Pie and Titania McGrath a bit with Jordan Peterson while promoting his book.

Oh yes! I’ve heard his interview

Not the first time it's happened with McGrath.. Another good one was when Profs Peter Boghossian, James Lindsay, and Helen Pluckrose got absolute garbage published in woke journals. The Sokal^2 hoax. They got something like 7 articles of 12 or 13+ put out with more on the way, and the only reason more weren't published was because they got caught early.

I'm not sure Doyle is actually revealing he wrote this, or if he's just mocking it for sounding like Titania.

No, it's the PERFECT symbol, because the Jedi Order are ALSO violent self-righteous moralizing pricks who want to overthrow the government.

Silly boy, they are the government. Or rather, they prop it up.

they are they government

They aren't the senate.

I always thought they were more of an independent Force users police force.

Essentially yeah kinda like the PsiCorp. Except I think PsiCorp is part of the Earth Government. But the Jedi Order is outside of the New Republic Government but maintains peace by looking for Siths. I dunno, I might have it all wrong

You're correct in theory, but one of the themes of a lot of the Clone Wars media was that the Jedi had become too bureaucratic and beholden to the Republic. Even at the very start of the trilogy, we see it; the theoretically independent Jedi arbitrators are gassed by the Trade Federation above Naboo because Sidious is easily able to convince the Viceroys that they're actually Chancellor Vallorum's assassins or something like that. Granted, part of that is because the Viceroys are a bunch of spineless halfwits, but if the Jedi were truly seen as respected and independent by all parties, that would be a much harder sell.

They really honed in on that in the animated series. I remember in season 6 when Ahsoka wanted to go after Maul on Mandalore and was trying to get help from Anakin and Kenobi, only for news of an attack on the Chancellor to reach them (this is where Anakin kills Dooku in the films) and the two Jedi just want to drop everything and go straight there.

She straight up tells them they want to go play politics rather than do the right thing.

Gee, from my studies, I've seen where they've been finding more and more that other social animals will pass on their social positions to certain of their offspring, too. How shocking that the human ape might be like that, too. How dare the Jedi do anything that reflects true nature, rather than ideology.

violent duels with phallic lightsabers

I should not be surprised at this point in time, but for real? Everyone knows Titania is a parody account with a gay white dude behind the account.

He has his own show at this point.

Yet another skinsuit used to construct a world image decidedly at odds with reality.
