In the book’s account, Milley went so far as to pledge he would alert his counterpart in the event of a U.S. attack, stressing the rapport they’d established through a backchannel. “General Li, you and I have known each other for now five years. If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time. It’s not going to be a surprise.”

I expected "I'd refuse and block the orders" or "arrest the president" or whatever.

I didn't expect "I became a literal Chinese spy and traitor to my country". What the fuck.

lgbtqwtfbbq 32 points ago +32 / -0

Their General Li probably got a good laugh at the end of that conversation, because I can guarantee you he wouldn't reciprocate.

SupremeReader 32 points ago +32 / -0

Of course he fucking wouldn't. In a sane world Milley would be arrested as we speak.

But we don't live in a sane world.

He'll probably get a medal from Biden's handlers.

CptLightning [S] 22 points ago +22 / -0

Yeah, thanks for quoting that.

I probably should've put that in my comment for those who are too lazy to read the article, but I'm just so blown away by the audacity of it all. And you know there will be no consequences

Gizortnik 9 points ago +9 / -0

It is very common that tyrants will use foreign armies to invade their own countries. I wouldn't be surprised if in some desperate attempt the Chinese military was brought in to support "Peacekeeping" operations.

But I suspect Soros' "Safe Cities" program is the more likely candidate for unconventional conflict.

SarcasticRidley 6 points ago +6 / -0

That is literal, unambiguous treason.

This country is doomed.

CptLightning [S] 41 points ago +41 / -0

I'm honestly speechless. This has probably been the most damning, "we don't have a country any longer" thing I've seen. I just...

I'm going to delete Minecraft, nothing I say should be taken as a joke

I feel sorry for the people living in the blue states. No telling how much time they have left until they're stuck there.

Am I saying some sort of split or, God forbid, a civil war is right around the corner? No, but the way these things start is they happen slowly...and then suddenly everything kicks off all at once. Something could happen tomorrow, or it could happen 5, 10, or more years from now, we don't know. Get out of the blue areas while you can.

If a civil war happens it's not going to be the neat, relatively organized fare of the US Civil War. They usually don't happen like that. If you want to see how they usually go look at Spain. If things go hot you don't want to be a non-leftist in a blue area.

edit: Boy, this sounds alarmist.

The247 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yeah we have been gone. I hope it all kicks off earlier than later so that my kids can have some semblence of a real life not a commie one.

In the past 3 years I've had an neighbor from Bosnia retire, sell his place, and move back to the old country and another friend who survived Kosovo doing something similar and moving to south America as his wife is from Chile. Both told me they are seeing the same signs here they saw back in Yugoslavia in the late 80's.

BidenLikesMiners 1 point ago +1 / -0

Can you elaborate on those signs, and maybe potentially ways how we can brainstrom to stop them?

Gizortnik 7 points ago +7 / -0

It's more than obvious that the worst case scenario to me is depopulation of the cities by emigration, and "The Troubles" style irregular warfare at best. Frankly, I don't think that's likely given the state of the Biden regime's hard power.

It's amazing how eager the reactionary right are to swallow all the available black pills in the vicinity.

TheModernDaVinci 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's amazing how eager the reactionary right are to swallow all the available black pills in the vicinity.

If you ask me, its because a lot of them are ethno-nats or other "right wing authoritarian" types who want their own state of control, and are upset because what they are finding happening is not people losing faith and going to their ideology. Instead, they are going back to their roots and wanting back freedom, liberty, and the American Way. And they hate that because they thought that people would come into their arms running away from the Commies on the Left.

Also, I do wonder if there is some jealousy. Because while they are complaining about the "unstoppable march of the Left" and how we are all doomed unless we go start shooting Leftist in the street like we are all in the Freikorp. While no one was looking Trump Populist types have been taking over local and state level political positions. Which I think is part of the reason you are seeing so much more fight and general "refuse to die" attitude at the State level that isnt there at the Federal level. But based on how the nation works, it will (eventually) work its way up the ladder.

BidenLikesMiners 1 point ago +1 / -0

And thats why the govt exploits it. Its sad, many dont want to listen once theyve taken that course of beliefs.

Gizortnik 7 points ago +9 / -2

Once again, you still don't get it. You DO NOT give ground to Communists.

If you partition America, you guarantee a major invasion a few years later, backed by the Chinese, and you will lose. Did partitioning work for South Korea? Or North Vietnam? Or Hong Kong? Or Taiwan? Or Germany?

Name one instance where a group of people pulled away from Leftists and the Leftists didn't then attack either immediately, attack later after a given time to prepare, or be just barely held back by chomping at the bit for 50 years non-stop. The only example you'll come up with is something like Poland or Estonia: A situation where the political Left is so fundamentally weak that they are unable to effectively hold their own positions and have to let go of the assault because they can't even hold ground. Poland and Estonia won because the Communists literally couldn't hold Russia.

You know why the Left loves reactionary right wingers? Because you're super predictable, you're always self-defeating, and you always lose.

The solution is to delegitimize the authority, undermine their legitimacy, deny them support, and watch the whole system implode on itself.

The collapse of the Soviet Union finally came about because Estonia discovered the Molotov Ribbentrop Pact and used it to undermine the legitimacy of communist rule generally, and take advantage of the fact that the Communists use of hard power would only further their illegitimacy. Meanwhile, the Estonian nationalists build entirely separate structures of power, and dissolved communist institutions under their control.

Civil War, Secession. I swear you are trying to lose and give them the strongest possible propaganda victory you can hand them. Nothing says "I'm fighting for American values and principles" than "I'm leaving America"

Maybe you should start burning American flags. That would totally prove how they are the real traitors.

The247 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ok. Then let's fight back. Looks left, looks right,. Yeah, that's what I thought. No one there. Im not a right winger. I'm not a left winger either. I'm a Constitutional literalist. Probbly closer to Ancap than any other buzz+word group.

You mention not giving ground to them commies. Ok. How? Not pay taxes? Boom, all my property is gone and 8m in jail. Shoot at them when they come to take it? Boom. I'm a ruby ridge statistic. Hmmm... Run for the local school boardin the land of provably-fake elections? Seems like a waste of time.

This is what I mean. I literally am a land owner in the worst state. I have been on the front lines for years. I watched it happen all the way back to the mid 90s. Not give ground? Dude. ALL of the Nation is taken already and no one will even recognize that fact. Texas seceding would be TAKING LAND BACK.

You go spend some time reading about life in east Germany or Russia or Ukraine. That's coming NOW. Without a concentrated motivated group of actually free men able to directly and openly engage the enemy and provide an example for others to follow then the US will look like in Australia and North Korea very soon. Don't think your govenor will save you either.

I hope I'm wrong. I don't disagree with your idea that there will be an open invasion if the US breaks up but I think that the invasion is upon us NOW. Breakup or not. Getting any piece of commie-free ground is going to be necessary to fight back.

Gizortnik 0 points ago +1 / -1

You are constantly catastrophizing the worst possible outcome, and then retreating to the idea that you won't be attacked later by Communists who you admit are already invading.

Texas seceding would be TAKING LAND BACK.

No it wouldn't. You'd still have the same government of Texas, and now you would make Texas a primary target for far more aggression.

ALL of the Nation is taken already and no one will even recognize that fact.

This is why you lose. You don't realize when you haven't lost. It's a very common thing I see on the reactionary right: you are prepared to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Getting any piece of commie-free ground is going to be necessary to fight back.

That's not how communism works. You can't stop them from infiltrating. You stop them from having anything to seize, or seize easily. You have to break up keystone positions of power so that there is nothing for them to latch onto. They don't ever build anything, and that is our primary weapon.
