If you go back and watch Thor and Thor: The Dark World, it's abundantly, ridiculously obvious that Natalie Portman wants, more than anything else in the entire world, to not be in those movies. She has clearly never hated anything more in her entire life.

Also remember that at the end of Thor 2 that kiss Thor has isn't with Portman because she'd already left the studio at that point. It was Hemsworth's actual wife standing in, the busty blonde from Fast 5/6/7 in the Fast and the Furious franchise.
