Scott Fontana is a 'journalist' for the New York Post. He has spread three race hoaxes in the past year alone. Verified ones, there may well be more that my digging did not find.
Normally, when journalists are exposed for spreading hoaxes, as they often do, they change the subject, as they know they can rely on their employer to never bring it up and on Big Tech to censor any mention of it.
This one was a case apart by those standards. The doubling down was truly amazing. He first says that what he was so angry about the day before "doesn't matter", because his dread word was used in other contexts. Then he says that he "feels excellent" about it, because he... "still stands against racism".
As always, a picture says more than a thousand words.
Context: Some elderly man at a game was shouting for 'Dinger' to come over and take a picture with him and his grandkids. The radical left heard its dread word and made this into a national news story, as they did before with Jazmine Barnes, Covington, Jussie Smollett, Bubba Wallace, Dreadlocks Girl, and many others. Many were shamelessly spreading this hoax, and almost no one retracted - many have not even deleted their comments, this one included.
