I honestly am taken aback by hiring personnel that feel so entitled to labor at their set rate. Yeah, the kids weren't be very professional about their requests but if the market makes $16/hr undesirable, then you have to work around that fact.
Yes, I understand that a state-controlled economy has make market conditions the way they are now but I doubt the contractors have been complaining about government bloat up until they were on the wrong end of things.
Capitalism is a two way street. Right now workers have some power and employers are losing their minds and doing everything in their power to shift the blame anywhere but wages being too low.
