How woke is the streaming service CuriosityStream?

They specialize in documentary/non-fiction videos. My family loves documentaries but, streaming services being what they are, I'm hesitant to subscribe. Anyone have experience with them?

Like a crackhead overdosed on meth while doing shots of espresso at 3 a.m. waiting for the bank to open so they can cash the government check.
