Antifa is an idea. Being gay is genetic but anyone can be gay. Gender is a social construct but gender identity must be treated as inherent. Racism is invisible, but also everywhere. Note these trends, they make claims that require cognitive dissonance because they refuse to define their beliefs. To actually hold a clearly defined belief would require that person to be able to defend that belief. So what we see instead is gay people out openly recruiting straight people (remember Andy Samburg in I Love You Man) but then saying anyone that identifies as gay or whatever is an inherent trait present since birth. This cognitive dissonance allows them to deflect argument, solidify any attack as one on something “unchangeable”, and then for them to cry victim because they are the oppressed walking the streets in assless chaps and fetish gear. This holds true on every position they hold.

This relates to a marketing technique I was outlining to my family the other night. That is the "assumption of belonging."
I hold several opinions that are rational and perfectly reasonable to me. I am told that there are two camps of politics, the good guys, and the bad guys. I will assume that my opinions must fall into the good guy camp, and this makes sense since the bad guy camp are spoken of in only the most disparaging and exaggerated ways.
I meet a person who identifies themselves as a bad guy. I think "wow, I found one, this is incredible, they must disagree with all of my opinions since I'm a good guy and my opinions are intrinsic elements of being a good guy." But the more we compare notes, the more we realize that except for rare exception, our opinions are largely in alignment.
Then the bad guy explains exactly how his opinions align with his party's principles in fundamental ways, and I realize, I don't know my party's principles at all, I had assumed they were in alignment due entirely to the branding of my party as being the one that is rational, sane, and good. I brought my definition of what is rational, sane, and good into the party all on my own without comparing any actual policies, or any actual tenets.
This mistake was made easy, by the party deliberately marketing themselves vaguely, and in purely emotional terms.
It's not just "big tent" politics, its deceitful, duplicitous marketing. Tell me what I want to hear, but stop short of telling me anything foundational. This encourages the "assumption of belonging" and lets me fill in the blanks without realizing that it's just a scam. The big ideas are a secret, the core tenets are held to the chest, and absent them admitting it, a cynic can only then deduce that their real goal is shamming an army into propping them into power so they can implement what they really want to do.
Excuse me for quoting Thrawn but it highlights the Modern Left's greatest weapon, obfuscation. By constantly changing definition (like Global Warming, Climate Change, Climate Crisis) they get everyone to play by their narrative. The Right seek to conserve the way of American life which allows the modern Left to point at them and get their useful idiots to attack. The Right are rigidly set in their tradition which makes them such easy target for Post-Modern thinking. The Left constantly shift the sands so they're never in the wrong, even when it's obvious like with trying to impeach Trump twice and rigging the election.
That's the obvious layer though, when you see how this is done, the use of mass communication devises/propaganda to constantly change their meaning, organization and who holds the power. Which leads to the bigger, ideological conflict of the dominance of culture in a multi-cultural world where multiple cultures seek control over the West's financial power.
Obfuscation is just one tool in their arsenal to control Average Joe public.
I would argue that it's more accurate to say their greatest weapon is dishonesty. Like all followers of Satan, they lie as naturally as breathing.
The right's biggest problem is that we have yet to embrace in our collective mindset the truth that the left is always, always, acting in bad faith. We're still treating them like people, instead of the parasites they are. We try to argue and persuade with logic, instead of rebuff and rebuke the enemy as the demons they are.
When the right as a whole wakes up to the fact that we need to stop trying to give hugs to an existential threat, then the real fight will finally begin. Until then, trying to achieve the zeitgeist necessary to kick things off is the primary goal.
I would say their biggest weapon is controlling the mainstream media and social media. If we had an independent press who actually played it straight, the left would be completely fucked.
And how did they get that? Did they all just walk in one day and proclaim that the news agencies now serve Marx? Or did they sneak in, one by one and little by little, and takeover before revealing their intent and agenda? Hell, even the media itself is primarily used as a vehicle for telling lies.
Everything they have comes from dishonesty and bad faith. And the fact that we keep falling for it.
If.
Maintaining the legitimacy of any institution or organization requires strict and watchful gatekeeping.
Yeah I suppose you're right
Why would they? Defining Republicans as villains and continually reedefining what that means to suit them has worked out great. Especially since the Republicans don't seem to mind!
The left is easy to define. They are MI6. That's how they got so powerful so quickly and how everyone changes their opinion every 24 hours when the new instructions come down from the Foreign Office. The communism is because 1) it destroys America and 2) they're taking payoffs from the Russians and Chinese. The love for Islam is because 1) it destroys America and 2) they're taking payoffs from the Arabs. The Red-Green Alliance is the communists and Islamists paying off the correct British Lords.
if you support a belief and also their opposite you always fall into the orthodoxy :)
