The Hollywood small hat crew doth protest too much, methinks. Same with "think of the children" while they are all pedophiles, PoundMeToo while they give Oscars to the young actress they pass around this year (Jennifer Lawrence is a perfect example), to muh environment while they have multiple private jets and damn cruise ships, etc.
In-group awards, for example scientists awarding other scientists or filmmakers awarding other filmmakers, are a complete joke.
Remember the 2020 "The Last of Us 2" Game Awards?
In my opinion a good award should have 2 criteria:
Should be given between groups, for example consumers to companies, students to professors and vice versa...
Should be transparent: no "juries", no "committees", no "weighted voting", just a list of voters that have equal voting power
A good example are the Steam Awards, they don't take themselves too seriously and they are quite transparent, even though the results are often a contest of popularity rather than quality (which is unavoidable with such huge numbers)
The Razzies have always been critics attacking movies they don't like with some defensive veneer of "in good fun" for some and outright vitriol if they feel protected.
Makes me think I ought to look up old Razzie Winners from previous years. If the out of touch Rotten Tomatoes Critic scores are anything to go by, then the same concept should hold relatively true for Razzie movies...
awards are 100% political farce now. Ever since Obama won a peace prize it's been more and more obvious.

You lost. Cry harder Nazi.

Comment Approved: Nazi isn't a slur. That's like calling someone a Communist, Islamo-Fascist, Liberal, Leftist, or even lolbertarian.
Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party got Worst Picture in 2016, so I'm not surprised.

Meh, gives it more exposure. Not like these awards mean anything other than a bit of Streisanding.

Its as worthless as the Oscars.
