Or perhaps it was that they don't need a test, which I can only assume is because asymptomatic cases weren't considered a concern at the time. It's not on their guidelines page anymore, I can only find articles referencing it, not the passage on the CDC's site itself.

Asymptomatic people do not have a high enough viral load in their throats to infect others. Even if they coughed right in your face it's still very, very unlikely that you would get the virus from them.

I appreciate the response, and with what I know I agree, but I wanted the instance of the CDC acknowledging it because it's useful for arguing with reddit trogs.
Probably not something I should care about, but eh, thrill of the battle, right?
