Trying to convince people that Covid isn’t the zombie apocalypse is getting to be a waste of my time. If you are high risk take further precautions and it is truly sad for the people who died but it seems now the only deaths that matter are Covid. It feels silly to get mad at a virus but Trump lost because of it. Idiots in media can’t shut up about it and feed on hysteria. Sure Trump could’ve handled it better but nobody would’ve handled it perfectly.
What really pisses me off is that once Biden is sworn in they will move on to something else.
The most frustrating part is the weird expectation about what a "good" response to covid would have looked like, there's always someone going "of course the USA handled covid badly, over 200,000 died 'with' (not of) covid" like they think there there was some way to just magic away a highly infectious disease such that not even 0.1% of the population get it.
And worse, half of them think that kind of result was achievable without completely locking down all the borders at the faintest wiff of the virus emerging in China, no exceptions, even for citizens.
And I get so irritated when the news reports cases like a death sentence
